Message Here is my f-ed up situation. I bought a 90 2+2 with 132K a few months ago for $4900, knowing that it needed a lot of work. So far I put $3000+ into fixing it... starter, tune-up, brakes,120K maintenance(belts, fuel pump, water pump, tensioner...), and a bunch of odds and ends. Well, I also had a new clutch put in. Well, the clutch was put in by Cottman Trans. When I got the 120K service, the guy at the dealership said the clutch wasn't bled correctly because it is spongy. He said $175 just to bleed it. So, I went back to Cottman, the Cottman guy said it was fine and that the dealership just wanted to get work out of me. I refused to argue with him because if he decided to re-bleed it, he would just do it wrong again. I said screw the work for now 'cause I had no money plus I can't go without a car. Now, that I have the money and a car to borrow, I took my car to United Auto Sales in Delaware (which I HIGHLY recommend, Kerry is great). I am gettin the rear fluid changed, a reverse light switch, and the clutch bled. Well, Kerry just called me and said, that something is broken in my clutch. He can see something broken but he'll have to take the trans down to find the problem, $450, which he can't even get to until a few days. I have no clue about clutches, he said somethin like the clutch fork is not fitting or running along the throw out bearing or something or another..I DON'T KNOW.

Well, there is a warranty on the clutch. I know the Cottman guy will be a total ass of this situation and would probably fight me to not do the work. He'll probably blame it on the other shops that did more work on my car. I really don't need confrontation right now or I'll probably go off the deep end. Even if he says he'LL fix it, I don't feel comfortable with givng him my car again, but I don't want to dish out more money for UAS to fix it, $450 plus the price of whatever part or parts is broken and to service them too. My credit cards are already maxed out from this car and I am sick of dishing out more and more and to have to bum rides or borrow cars.

SO,
if Cottman is going to be a dick about the whole thing, I was just going to sell the car and try to make my money back and buy a TT. I can afford payments, I cannot afford always having to max out credit cards...$300 here $200 there $500 over here. Yeah its shitty to sell it with the broken clutch and pretend not to know, but I have the receipt for the new clutch. I might have truthfully not known something was broke if I never had it checked. If I sell, what would be a good asking cost? I have tons of new shit and tons of service on it with receipts. There is no major damage to the body, just dings and scapes. So far, I would say I spent about $8000 total, a perfect down payment for a TT at UAS. Any comments are appreciated!!!!!!!

Thanks for hearing me bitch!!!!
